This recipe was given to me by Asya. By the way, in the United States rabbit is not actually popular; and not served in restaurants.
- 0,5 liters dry red wine
- 0,5 liters fat broth
- 2 anise stars
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 red onions
- 3 bay leaves
- olive oil (optional)
- Preheat oven to 180 °C.
- Cut the rabbit into pieces.
- Peel the onion and cut it into slices, fry it in a dry (or olive oil) pan with the rabbit.
- Place the both sides fried rabbit and the onion in a deep container for baking.
- Add the wine, broth and spices (the rabbit must be completely covered with liquid!). Cover with a lid and bake for 2 hours.
